Pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 33/25, during its inter-sessional meeting in 2019, the Expert Mechanism decided to prepare a study on the rights of the indigenous child under the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of 2007.

Study and Presentation

A draft study will be introduced by the Expert Mechanism at its annual session from 12 to 16 July 2021, after which it will be finalised and presented to the Human Rights Council at its forty-eighth session in September 2021.
