人权与反恐：联合国专家将对布基纳法索开展首次正式访问

日内瓦（2013年4月5日）——联合国人权与反恐问题特别报告员本•埃默森将于2013年4月8-12日对布基纳法索开展正式访问。这是他对该国的首次访问。该独立专家由联合国人权理事会任命，旨在监督并报告世界范围内在打击恐怖主义的同时促进与保护人权和基本自由问题。

埃默森先生即将应布基纳法索政府的邀请开始访问。他表示：“本次访问旨在收集信息，提供了一个独特的机会来了解并讨论该国的反恐法律和做法，目的是协助其在打击恐怖主义同时确保人权和基本自由得到尊重。”

在为期五天的访问中，人权专家将与多个相关部门的政府官员（包括外交部、人权部门、内政部和司法部等）、司法和执法部门的代表以及检察官进行会谈。埃默森先生还将与议员、国际社会与非政府组织的代表会面。他还进一步计划访问与其任务相关的羁留中心。

基于在访问期间收集的信息，该特别报告员将准备一份报告，在2014年呈交至人权理事会。

4月12日（周五）结束访问时，埃默森先生还将在瓦加杜古举行一场新闻发布会以展示他的初步意见。详细信息将随后跟进。
