背景

Speakers can be found throughout the Kasai Occidental and Kasai Oriental regions. It is spoken by the Baluba and the Bena Lulua people. However there are significant dialect differences between East Kasai Region (Baluba people) and West Kasai Region (Bena Lulua people). The language belongs to the Niger-Congo, Atlantic Congo, Volta-Congo, Benue-Congo, Bantoid family.
