背景

Hawaiian is a Polynesian language and is spoken in all the islands of Hawaii, with minor dialectical differences. Hawaiian became a written language in the nineteenth century. Hawaiian was the official language of Hawaii prior to the annexation of Hawaii by the United States of America. However in 1978 Hawaiian was re-established as the official language of Hawaii.
