Background

In its resolution 70/162 on the safety of journalists and the issue of impunity, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to prepare a report that was presented at its seventy-second session and to the Human Rights Council at its thirty-seventh session on the safety of journalists and the issue of impunity.
