In the framework of its 43rd session, the UNVFVT Board of Trustees will organize its yearly second Expert Workshop on "Redress and Rehabilitation of children and adolescent victims of torture and the intergenerational transmission of trauma"on 6 and 7 April 2016.

The conclusions of the Expert Workshop will be presented in a Public Event to be held in Palais des Nations on 8 April 2016 between 11am and 1pm (Room XII).

This Public Event, organized in the context of the 35th anniversary of the Fund in the presence of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, will be open to all Permanent Missions, civil society actors and media based in Geneva. Amongst the panellists, there will be and expert practitioners from  programmes that the Fund supports for the rehabilitation of children and their families.

This meeting will draw public attention to the continuous plight of victims of torture (this year, with a particular focus on children), the obligation for redress and the essential role played by rehabilitation centres worldwide.
