Expert Mechanism on the Right to Development

2023 SDG Summit and the 2024 Summit of the Future

At its seventh session, the Expert Mechanism held five focused thematic discussions with a view to contributing to the processes in the lead-up to the 2023 SDG Summit and the 2024 Summit of the Future. Dialogues touched upon the right to development approach to the topics of New Agenda for Peace, Measuring Progress Beyond GDP, the Reform of the International Financial Architecture, the Rights of Future Generations, and Youth Participation.

These contributions were included in the Expert Mechanism’s annual report (A/HCR/54/41) presented at the 54th session of the Human Rights Council in September 2023.
