To mark the tenth anniversary of the mandate on cultural rights and the seventieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Special Rapporteur provides an overview of the work of her mandate since its creation in 2009. She suggests strategies for advancing cultural rights during the next decade.
The Special Rapporteur invited all relevant stakeholders to share with her their observations about the progress made in the implementation of those rights since the creation of the mandate. She invited their input on the outstanding challenges they face and priority issues for the next decade.
