Ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child on 30 September 1990

Ratified the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict on 16 April 2002

Ratified the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children child prostitution and child pornography on 16 April 2002

Pledges

Ensure that by 2022, 95% of children under the age of 6 years are registered and receive a birth certificate.
