Acceded to the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography on 18 June 2004

Pledges

1. Develop a draft child law that is compatible with the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
2. Prepare a national strategy for children in Libya during the next five years that is based on rights and meets the needs of children.
3. Establish an observatory for children’s rights in coordination with NGOs and municipalities.
