Acceded to the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict on 13 August 2003
Acceded to the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children child prostitution and child pornography on 12 February 2003
Pledges
- Kyrgyzstan is committed to ensure the implementation of the Government’s Program for family support and child protection for 2018-2028. The implementation of the Government’s Program for family support and child protection until 2028.
- Kyrgyzstan is also committed:
- to ensure the implementation of the Plan of Measures to Prevent Abuse and Violence against Children;
- to develop of the institution of foster families, increase funding to enhance its development;
- to ensure access of children with disabilities to education within the framework of the "Inclusive Education Development Program".
- In order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, an Action Plan has been approved and activities are scheduled before the end of 2019.
