Ratified the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children child prostitution and child pornography on 15 July 2009

Ratified the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on a communications procedure on 28 February 2013

Pledges

1. Continue efforts to incorporate an explicit fundamental right for children into the Basic Law.
2. Conduct a “Happy Birthday Children’s rights” Bus Tour throughout Germany that provides information on children’s rights to children and adults.
