Marcela de Jesús Natalia is a Mexican Indigenous Ñomndaa’ journalist, who has dedicated her life to informing in her language and defending human rights. For this she was shot three times, nearly losing her life. On this International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, her story illustrates how on-going impunity for such crimes against journalists affects human rights.
