Open-ended consultation on the elimination of discrimination against persons affected by leprosy and their family members
UN Human Rights hosted an open-ended consultation on 15 January 2009 in Geneva as requested by Human Rights Council resolution 8/13. The meeting brought together various stakeholders to exchange views on the impact of discrimination on the enjoyment of all human rights of persons affected by leprosy and their family members. Persons who suffered from stigma and discrimination in relation to leprosy offered their personal testimonies and experiences. Read the full report of the discussions of the consultation with the participation of Member States, international and non-governmental organizations, experts and persons affected by leprosy (A/HRC/10/62).
