Committee against Torture publishes findings on New Zealand, Republic of the Congo, Romania, Luxembourg, Spain, Serbia, Colombia, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

GENEVA (15 May 2015) – The UN Committee against Torture has published its findings on the countries it examined during its latest session from 20 April to 15 May:  New Zealand, Republic of the Congo, Romania, Luxembourg, Spain, Serbia, Colombia, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. 

The findings, officially termed concluding observations, contain positive aspects of the respective State’s implementation of the Convention against Torture, Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, and also main matters of concern and recommendations.

The Committee against Torture is composed of 10 international independent experts.
