SUICIDE ATTACH IN RISHON LETZION

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson, has condemned in the strongest terms the suicide bombing in the Israeli town of Rishon Letzion, which killed 15 Israeli civilians, the bomber and critically wounded many others Such heinous crimes are inimical to human rights and in violation of international humanitarian law. Moreover, the timing appears to be aimed at - but must not succeed in - undermining efforts to make political progress which is essential to restore the human security of both Israelis & Palestinians she said.
The High Commissioner called on the Palestinian authority to bring those responsible to justice and to repudiate the culture of the suicide bombings.
