SPECIAL RAPPORTEUR ON THE HUMAN RIGHTS SITUATION IN THE TERRITORY OF THE FORMER YUGOSLAVIA TO UNDERTAKE A TWO-WEEK MISSION TO THE REGION

The Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, Jiri Dienstbier, will undertake a two-week mission to the region starting this Sunday.


He will spend the first week in Croatia, meeting with Government officials including the Foreign Minister and the Ministers of Justice and Interior, and visiting the former conflict zones, including Eastern Slavonia. He will travel to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on 15 February, and will spend several days in the region of Vojvodina in northern Serbia.
