The Committee on Human Rights this afternoon continued to discuss lists of issues submitted by its pre-sessional working group on communications and country reports.

During the meeting, the Committee adopted the remaining lists of issues related to the reports of Algeria, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Tanzania after discussing their contents. These written lists of issues will be raised by members of the Committee during the presentation of the reports by the representatives of each country. The Committee had earlier agreed on the issues which will be raised concerning the reports of Ecuador, Israel and Italy.

Also this afternoon, the Committee held a private meeting to discuss issues related to its methods of work and the preliminary conclusions of the International Law Commission on the reservations to normative multilateral treaties, including human rights treaties.

When the Committee reconvenes at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 14 July, it will start consideration of the report of Ecuador.
