HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS SENDS CONDOLENCES TO PALESTINIAN PEOPLE, LEADERSHIP, FOLLOWING DEATH OF YASSER ARAFAT

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour has conveyed her condolences to the Palestinian people and the Palestinian leadership following the death earlier today of Yasser Arafat.

The High Commissioner said President Arafat’s leadership of Palestinians in their quest for self-determination and sovereignty will always be remembered.
