OVER DEATH OF SIMON WIESENTHAL

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour joins the Secretary-General in expressing sadness over the death of Simon Wiesenthal, who dedicated his life to the quest for justice and the struggle against impunity for genocide and crimes against humanity.
His example has been, and will continue to be, an inspiration to generations of advocates for justice and tolerance.
The High Commissioner sends her condolences to Mr. Wiesenthal's family, colleagues, and all those mourning his loss.
