OHCHR has an important knowledge development and dissemination function in relation to migration and human rights issues. Human rights-based policy formulation on migration and its effective implementation is dependent on the availability of relevant, valid and reliable information, international comparative analysis and rigorous monitoring of results and outcomes. OHCHR has produced a range of publications and resources on topics related to migration and human rights, which provide information and policy guidance to Governments, civil society, national human rights institutions and other stakeholders in order to promote greater respect, protection and fulfilment of migrants’ human rights.
