UN Committee on Migrant Workers to review Albania, Guatemala, Libya and Tajikistan

GENEVA (26 March 2019) —The Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families (CMW) will meet in Geneva from 1 to 12 April to review Albania, Guatemala, Libya and Tajikistan.

The above are among the 54 States parties to the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families. They are required to submit regular reports to the Committee, which is composed of 14 international independent human rights experts.

The Committee will discuss a range of issues relating to the implementation of the Convention with the respective government delegations. The sessions will be held in the ground floor conference room of Palais Wilson in Geneva, and a full schedule of the public meetings is available on-line.

The recommended hashtag for the meeting is #CMW30 and the sessions will be webcast live at http://webtv.un.org/.

Members will also hear from NGO representatives, national human rights institutions, UN bodies and specialised agencies. More information.
