BACKGROUND

Yakkha reside in eastern Nepal. The language of Yakkhas belongs to Tibeto-Burman family. According the 2011 National Census 9,093 people speak their mother tongue. Education in Yakkha language has just been started. Story books, songs and dictionaries have been written in Yakkha Language.
