Tangbe live mainly in the Himalayan region in the Chusang VDC 1 and 2 of Mustang district. Although their ancient territory is the place called 'Tangbe', they have lately been scattered in various places namely Jomsom, Pokhara, Kathmandu including abroad. Almost half of their population currently residing in Pokhara. The language of Tangbes is similar to Tamu (Gurung language). Tangbe call it 'Serke' language belonging to Tibeto-Burman language family. Tangbeni language has no script. The UDHR translation has been recorded in Devnagari script.
