BACKGROUND

Surel is an endangered indigenous community found in villages like Suri Haleswari, Tinekhu and Khahare in the vicinity of Suri Khola (stream) in Dolakha district. The language of Surels belongs to Tibeto-Burman language family. They have no written script. The UDHR translation has been recorded in Devnagari script.
