BACKGROUND

It is believed that the ancestors of native-speakers of Hakka are from Central Plains in China. For some reason, such as avoiding wars and natural disasters, they immigrate into Southern China, especially Guangdong, Fujian and Taiwan, where most native-speakers of Hakka are still living in. Hakka is written in Chinese characters.
