Photography 4 Humanity 2020 Global Prize
Photography 4 Humanity is an international initiative that calls on photographers around the world to bring to life the power of human rights through their images. Highlighting the most compelling imagery — illustrating courage, despair, hope, injustice, compassion, human rights failures or victories in ways small and large, the images will serve to inspire people to personally get involved and take a stand for human rights.
The 2020 Photography 4 Humanity Global Prize Recipient was announced on Human Rights Day on 10 December. The winner, Anindito Mukherjee, was selected from thousands of submissions from 142 nations. Mukherjee’s photo “The Last Rites” captures both the human and systemic costs of COVID-19 in Delhi.
The work of the 2020 Photography 4 Humanity Global Prize Recipient and the Top 10 finalists will be showcased at Fotografiska New York from 10 December 2020 to 24 January 2021.
