Summary

The report the Expert Mechanism focuses on the collection, publication and analysis of data disaggregated by race or ethnic origin with regard to interactions of Africans and people of African descent with law enforcement authorities and the criminal justice system, as an essential element for driving and assessing responses to systemic racism in the areas of law enforcement and the criminal justice system and proposes a series of recommendations in this regard.

The report also includes an overview of its activities since its establishment in December 2021 and shares its methods of work
