This report, Update on Accountability in Iraq, is UNAMI’s seventh public report on this subject since October 2019, and covers the period of 1 May 2021 to 15 May 2022. The report highlights that some progress has been made, particularly on compensation for victims, but results regarding accountability for human rights violations and abuses by “Unidentified Armed Elements” remain limited.
