Summary

In the present report, the Independent Expert on protection against violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, Victor Madrigal-Borloz, provides information on his visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from 24 April to 5 May 2023. The Independent Expert assesses the implementation of national and international human rights standards to combat violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in the United Kingdom, and offers recommendations to strengthen protections in this regard.
