In the report on her visit to Angola from April 28 to May 10, 2022, the Special Rapporteur on the elimination of discrimination against persons affected by leprosy and their family members, Alice Cruz, explores issues related to Angola's progress in eliminating leprosy-related discrimination and stigma, as well as the challenges faced by Angola in this regard. Cruz also offers constructive recommendations on relevant areas, including national anti-discrimination policies, resource allocation, collection of data, access to justice, disability rights, as well as the need to strengthen the health care system and international cooperation, in order to sustain efforts and achieve systemic change.
