Call for inputs: Follow-up to the Special Rapporteur’s country visits from 2021 - 2022

Purpose: To follow-up on the outcome of the country visits to Montenegro, Mauritius and Philippines.
Background

Pursuant to resolution 52/26 of the Human Rights Council, the Special Rapporteur regularly conducts country visits to assess the situation of the sale, sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children at national level, in collaboration with the concerned State and other stakeholders.

Objectives

With a view to follow up on the outcome of those country visits, the Special Rapporteur invites all stakeholders to submit information on their views on any progress made in the protection and response to incidences of sale, sexual exploitation and sexual abuse in the respective countries as well as provide contribution on the status of implementation of the recommendations presented in the respective reports following the conclusion of the country visit to the following countries: 

Montenegro - A/HRC/49/51/Add.1

Mauritius –  A/HRC/52/31/Add.1

Philippines - A/HRC/55/55/Add.1

How inputs will be used?

The outcome of this exercise will result in a follow up engagement with respective states to strengthen cooperation and support in the protection of children and response to incidences of sale, sexual exploitation and abuse of children. All submissions will be made public on the Special Rapporteur’s country visits page.
