Stocktaking on the 10th anniversary of the UNGPs

The 16th of June 2021 marked the 10th anniversary of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs). Their unanimous endorsement by the UN Human Rights Council was a landmark moment for efforts to promote corporate respect for human rights and sustainable business.

This site features video statements from Government and UN leaders as well a range of stakeholders to reflect on progress to date and the road ahead needed to increase the pace of implementation over the coming years.

As part of its mandate to promote the UNGPs and the UNGPs 10+ project, the Working Group on Business and Human Rights is taking advantage of the 10th anniversary to take stock of implementation to date of the UNGPs and to chart a course for action in the decade ahead. UN Working Group launches UNGPs 10+ Roadmap for the next decade of business and human rights (29 November, 2021)
