NOTE: This Working Group vacancy is reserved for nationals of States belonging to the Group of Asia-Pacific States only. Candidates eligible for the vacancies in Working Groups and in the Expert Mechanism on the Right to Development are only nationals of States belonging to the specific regional groups for which specific vacancies have been advertised. For members of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP), candidates need to represent one of the indigenous sociocultural regions for which vacancies have been advertised. Please see additional information on EMRIP.

Should the appointee to any of the mandates be a person with a disability, the United Nations would be obliged to ensure reasonable accommodation for the mandate holder in the implementation of his/her mandate. This may include provisions for the mandate holder to be accompanied during official travels by a personal assistant, and/or for additional conference services (such as sign language interpretation) in respect of meetings in which the mandate holder participates.
