Application processes and deadlines

 

Application process is now closed for all nine mandates and applications are no longer accepted

For the following mandate, the application process opened on 18 December 2017 and closed on 23 January 2018 (12 noon Greenwich Mean Time):

  • Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association

For the following mandate, the application process opened on 30 October and closed on 6 December 2017 (12 noon Greenwich Mean Time):

  • Independent Expert on the situation of human rights in Mali

For the following seven mandates, the application process opened on 16 October and closed on 6 December 2017 (12 noon Greenwich Mean Time):

Should the appointee to any of the mandates be a person with a disability, the United Nations would be obliged to ensure reasonable accommodation for the mandate holder in the implementation of his/her mandate. This may include provisions for the mandate holder to be accompanied during official travels by a personal assistant, and/or for additional conference services (such as sign language interpretation) in respect of meetings in which the mandate holder participates.
