Accreditation to sessions of the Human Rights Council

Requests for accreditation for sessions of the Human Rights Council should be made online through the platform below to the Secretariat of the Human Rights Council. Please allow three working days for your request to be processed.
Online request for accreditation.

Representatives in possession of a grounds pass issued by the Security and Safety Section of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) or United Nations Headquarters in New York (UNHQ) will have unrestricted access to conference rooms. However, they are also requested to register in Indico.

Representatives without a UNOG or UNHQ identification badge should apply through the online platform and, upon presentation of identification and a copy of the confirmation email/e-ticket, a photo-badge valid for the session will be issued.

Please be informed that the Pregny Pavilion re-opened for regular operations on Monday, 22 May 2023. The re-opening of the Pavilion means that the Pass and ID office will resume full operations from 8 a.m. to 4:45 pm. The Peace Gate (adjacent to Place des Nations) will now be reserved for access by holders of long-term badges, including staff members, who are not subject to security screening. Additional information on access and circulation routes during renovation works can be found here: https://www.ungeneva.org/en/about/practical-information

Please Note: When there are a large number of persons seeking to participate in a session, the Secretariat may limit the number of accredited participants.

Access to the public gallery will be granted to individuals or groups depending on the availability of seating and other circumstances.

Individuals or groups who wish to observe the proceedings through the public gallery are required to register on the online platform. Please allow three working days for your request to be processed.

Side events:

To participate in a side event, please contact the organizer of the event directly. The organizer of the event may invite a maximum of five guests who do not already hold access badges to the Palais des Nations. These guests should register individually online three working days prior to the event, through the link provided by the official organizer of the event and upload a copy of the official signed letter inviting them to participate. After this deadline, no further requests or changes will be accepted.
