Participation in the advanced human rights course on the right to development in Africa

From 16 to 20 August 2021, three members of the United Nations Expert Mechanism on the Right to Development (Mr. Mihir KANADE, Mr. Bonny IBHAWOH, Mr. Koen DE FEYTER) contributed to the advanced human rights course on the right to development in Africa. This course is organized by Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in partnership with the University of Antwerpen, Belgium.

This well-established course attested to the important African contribution to the emergence and codification of the right to development.

Initiatives strengthening the awareness of the right to development among all stakeholders are much needed and deserve the full support of the international community.
