Summary

The present report, submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 77/212 and Human Rights Council resolution 51/7, contains an analysis of the realization of the right to development and challenges in the context of the response to and the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The report also contains an overview of the activities carried out by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights from June 2022 to May 2023 on the promotion and realization of the right to development.
