Summary

The present report on the United Nations Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Peoples is submitted in accordance with General Assembly resolution 40/131. It provides updated information on the activities and status of the Fund since the submission of the previous biennial report (A/75/222), including on the thirty-fourth and thirty-fifth annual sessions of the Board of Trustees, held in February 2021 (covering 2021) and December 2021 (covering 2022), respectively. It also provides information on the temporary limitations in the implementation of the planned activities of the Fund due to the global coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and associated travel restrictions and other challenges, such as access to vaccination restrictions and cancellation of in-person United Nations meetings.
