Submitted pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 42/37, the present report outlines the role and achievements of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Cambodia from 1 June 2020 to 31 May 2021.

During the reporting period, OHCHR in Cambodia documented cases and patterns of violations highlighting the continued erosion of civic and democratic space in the country and ongoing attempts by the Government of Cambodia to restrict pluralism and fundamental freedoms, including by taking measures ostensibly designed to promote public health in the context of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. OHCHR continued to provide technical cooperation in key areas and promoted human rights in the context of the COVID19 pandemic.
