Dilip Sinha, is Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations Office at Geneva since March 2012.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Sinha had been serving as Special Secretary for International Organizations and Environment Diplomacy in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs since 2010. He was India’s Ambassador to Greece from 2007 to 2010. From 2005 to 2007, he was Joint Secretary, heading the Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran Division at the Ministry of External Affairs. He served as Deputy High Commissioner in the High Commission of India in Dhaka from 2002 to 2004. He served at the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations Office at Geneva from 1995 to 1999, as Counsellor and then Minister.
A career diplomat, Mr. Sinha joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1978. He has served in the Indian Embassies in Bonn, Cairo and Islamabad. He served as Director in the Prime Minister’s office from 1991 to 1995, and as Officer on Special Duty for Press Relations at the Ministry of External Affairs from 1990 to 1991.
Mr. Sinha received his Masters in political science from Patna University, Bihar, India. He is married and has two sons.
Kateřina Sequensová, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations Office at Geneva since September 2011, joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in 1999.
Prior to her appointment in Geneva, Ms. Sequensová served as the Director at the United Nations Department. From 2007 to 2009 she was the Deputy Director in the Common Foreign and Security Policy Department in Prague. From 2005 to 2007 she was posted to Cairo as the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Egypt. Ms. Sequensová served as Head of Political Unit at the United Nations Department in Prague from 2003 to 2005.
Between 2004 and 2005 she was an Election Observer for The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Georgia, and for the European Union in the Palestinian Territories and Lebanon respectively. Ms. Sequensová was posted to the Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York from 2002, where she worked as a Political Officer in the Office of the President of the 57th United Nations General Assembly. After graduating from the Diplomatic Academy in 2000, Ms. Sequensová took up her first position at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic as a Desk Officer in the United Nations Department, a job she held until 2002.
Prior to commencing her diplomatic career, Ms. Sequensová worked at an international law firm in Washington DC, Hale and Dorr LLP, where she was an International Trade Assistant.
Ms. Sequensová has an M.A. in Economics and International Relations from the Prague School of Economics in the Czech Republic, a BSc in Economics from Strayer College in Washington DC and an M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University in Washington DC, United States. She speaks native Czech, English and Russian and has a working knowledge of German and French.
Alberto Pedro D’Alotto serves as Permanent Representative of Argentina to the United Nations Office at Geneva since February 2012.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. D’Alotto had been serving as Deputy Foreign Minister of Argentina since 2010. From 2007 to 2010, he was Chief of the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He served at the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the United Nations in New York from 2001 to 2006, first dealing with economic and social affairs, and then serving as Deputy Permanent Representative. He served at the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the United Nations in Geneva from 1986 to 1991, dealing with human rights and humanitarian affairs.
A career diplomat, Mr. D’Alotto joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina in 1984. He has held numerous posts at the Ministry, and has also served at the Embassy of Argentina in the United States from 1994 to 1996 and in Uruguay from 1996 to 1998.
Mr. D’Alotto was born in Buenos Aires on 2 October 1953. He has a Master in Political Sciences from the Université de la Sorbonne in Paris, France (1978) and a Law Degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain (1981). He also attended the Foreign Affairs School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina (1983-1984). During his career, Mr. D’Alotto has also taught at the University of Buenos Aires and the Universidad Di Tella in Buenos Aires. He is married with two children.
Maurizio Enrico Serra is Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations Office at Geneva since September 2013.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Serra had been serving as Permanent Delegate of Italy to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in Paris since 2010. He was Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome from 2008 to 2009, and Director of the Diplomatic Institute in Rome from 2002 to 2008.
Mr. Serra started his diplomatic career in 1978. He served as First Deputy Consul in West Berlin from 1981 to 1986, and as First Secretary in Moscow from 1984 to 1986. He was Counsellor and then First Counsellor in London from 1991 to 1997, and concurrently served as Alternate Director of Italy to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He has held a number of posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome.
Mr. Serra was born in London on 3 June 1955. He has a degree in political science from the University of Rome (1977).
