UN Human Rights Office Mobile App puts human rights news at your fingertips

Now you can carry around UN Human Rights information in the palm of your hand, with the new UN Human Rights Office mobile app available for Android and iPhone.

The app provides easy and user-friendly access to stories and news, plus key videos from the UN Human Rights YouTube channel. It contains news and stories on a variety of human rights subjects that are selectable by country, region or theme. In addition, there is even a quiz to test your knowledge of human rights. You can also share what you read with friends via Facebook and Twitter.

“This new app will provide our users easy and timely access to information on human rights and the work of the office of the high commissioner,” said Laurent Sauveur, Chief of the External Outreach Service. “It is an excellent addition to our existing communication tools so that everyone interested in human rights can get the information they want.”

The app is available in three languages: English, French and Spanish.
